His maturity and versatility as a singer is audible and perceptible in his renditions of all form of singing from Bhajans(devotional songs), Ghazals, Old Classic film songs, New Catchy numbers. His singing covers almost the entire spectrum of light and semi-classical songs.
Jitendra’s unbelievable understanding of music and extraordinary ability to perform light vocal music and hindi film songs has brought his great praises from legendary artists.What started as a hobby during the tribute functions of Late. Mukeshji in 1976 when he was barely fourteen years old eventually elevated his to serious stage performances.
Till date he has stared the stage with well famous singers of Gujarat like, Mr. Sachin Limaye, Ms. Foram Maheta, Mrs. Nilu Dave, and Film Music Director Mr. Brij Joshi and Mr.Amit Patel in Gujarati Sugam Sangeet. he has been trained by stalwarts like Shri Ras Bihari Desai, Shri Purushottam Upadhyay, Shri Ashit Desai, Shri. Janardhan Rawal, Mr. Suresh Jani, Late Mr. Paresh Bhatt, Late Mr. Kshmu Divetia,.
He has more than 1200 Live Stage Performances, more than 15 Audio Albums, Singing TV serial title songs, Hosting Live Stage shows, Awards functions, Doordarshan and All India Radio & more to his credit. All these are bagged by tender age of 15.
He started learning music with Mr.Shashikant Vyas, even before he learnt alphabet. Jitendra took his first steps in the musical arena and got interested in the fascinating musical career awaiting ahead.
Building the bridges with his initial career, he learnt singing technicalities, under the able guidance of Shri Shashikant Vyas, Shri Ras Bihari Desai and Shri Purushottam Upadhyaya. With their assistance he has been able to carve a niche for himself in the music circuit. Jitendra’s passion for music impels his to do the daily riyaaz(practice) religiously, which has helped his to give solo programs of three hours at a stretch.
His childlike innocence is intact if you ask his of a particular favourite genre in singing. The response is quite professional - Classical, Ghazals, Light, Playback, Live Performance….covering almost all.
But, then for those who have known his talent and potential this doesn’t sound too ambitious a goal to achieve.
With his busy schedule, it is difficult for Jitendra to pursue othis activities of his liking with equal zeel as he needs to study as well. However, he makes it a point to find time from his busy schedule to pursue his othis passions such as acting ,Theatre Activites and teach gujarati sugam Sangeet to the students of Nadiad Balkanji Bari.
